You can order year-round here on the website and we will ship your plants when you request or at a time appropriate for your zone.

Our experienced staff can offer you assistance with the design and care of your garden. We have a great collection of plants available to make your gardens unique. We are always looking for vigorous new selections and cultivars, overlooked natives which deserve a place in the garden, as well as keeping our favorite plants available for you to introduce into your gardens.

All of our plants are nursery propagated, never dug from the wild.

Search for a particular plant by botanical name, common name, or by keyword such as perennial, vine, tree, shrub, ground cover, fern, grass, butterflies, birds, cut flowers, dried flowers, evergreen, fragrant, or native.

Catalog: At your request, we'll send you a copy of our printed catalog. Active customers will continue to receive updated catalogs. Currently, we are only producing a spring catalog, but look for fall or special event mailings at other times during the year.

In Our Gardens: Our site is a work in progress. We will be posting new photos and information about theme gardens, special garden topics and problems, and visiting local gardens.

Visiting Niche: Niche Gardens is located in the piedmont region of North Carolina, about eight miles west of Chapel Hill. We are located in the southwestern section of Orange County, an area of gently rolling land dotted with dairy farms. More specifically, we are located at 35 55' north latitude and 79 06' west longitude. We're pleased that we've greatly expanded our hours to welcome the public to the nursery and gardens.
