Boltonia decurrens (Asteraceae)
(bowl-TOE-nee-ah duh-KUR-ens)
Decurrent False Aster

Boltonias are loved for their masses of small white daisy-like flowers from late summer into early fall. B. decurrens is a rarely offered species that offers everything BIG impressive 6' height, larger leaves, and billowy masses of 1" white flowers from mid-to-late summer. Happy in damp-to-average locations, in full sun for best bloom. Offer a bit of support with some sturdy meadow giants nearby, or cut back in early summer for shorter, bushier plants.
