Boltonia decurrens (Asteraceae)
(bowl-TOE-nee-ah duh-KUR-ens)
Decurrent False Aster

Boltonias are loved for their masses of small, white daisy-like flowers in late summer and early fall. Boltonia decurrens is a rarely offered native species that offers everything BIGGER wonderful 5-6' height, larger foliage, and huge masses of 1" white flowers from mid- to late summer. Our garden specimens are planted with Lilium formosanum near a tall archway that offers a bit of support if needed. Happy to grow in damp-to-average locations in sun.
