Leucanthemum x superbum 'Becky' (Asteraceae)
Becky's Shasta Daisy
2003 Plant of the Year, Perennial Plant Association. Shasta Daisies are a must in sunny cut-flower gardens, and 'Becky' is the best we've grown. Plants are smothered with large white daisies on sturdy 3-4' stems that refuse to flop, even after a hard rain. Blooms start in early June and last for 8 weeks or more; deadhead for extended bloom. Cut back to the shiny evergreen basal foliage in fall. From GA gardeners Becky & Jimmy Stewart, Becky's Daisy is well-suited to southern climates. (Formerly Chrysanthemum x superbum ‘Becky’.)
