Euphorbia charachias var. wulfenii (Euphorbiaceae)
(yew-FOR-bee-a chair-AH-chee-as var. wool-FEN-ee-eye)
Wulfenii Spurge

A wonderful and weird "Dr. Seuss" plant, with minimally branching dusky-pink shoots surrounded by whorls of soft blue-green leaves. Tips burst into bloom in spring, with showy clusters of bright chartreuse satellite-disk bracts that are typical of many Euphorbias. This shrubby perennialís overall effect is soft, dramatic and architectural. On the coldest days of winter, you will find its evergreen leaves pulled close to the stem. A longtime favorite here at Niche.
