Lantana 'Miss Huff' (Verbenaceae)
(lan-TAN-a)
Hardy Lantana

Flowers are 1" umbels of yellow, orange, coral and pink, covering a plant that can reach 4' x 4' by the end of summer. Plant in the spring and mulch well before winter. Drought-tolerant, and an absolute magnet for butterflies! 'Miss Huff' is hardy and easily overwinters here in zone 7. Leave old stalks standing through winter to protect the crown; prune hard in spring, after new growth emerges. Give 'Miss Huff' a try in a sheltered, sunny location in zone 6.
