Lantana 'Miss Huff' (Verbenaceae)
'Miss Huff' is a Lantana selection that is hardy here in zone 7, and overwinters beautifully in the Hot Colors Garden at Niche. Flowers are 1" umbels of yellow, orange, coral and pink, covering a plant that can reach 4' x 4' by the end of summer. Plant in the spring and mulch well before winter. Drought-tolerant, and an absolute magnet for butterflies. Prune hard in spring, but not until after new growth emerges. Reliably hardy in zone 7; give 'Miss Huff' a try in a sheltered, sunny location in zone 6.
