Laurentia fluviatilis (Campanulaceae)
Blue Star Creeper
This diminutive deciduous groundcover carpets itself with 1/4" powder blue flowers that seem to float above the tiny round leaves from late spring until fall. Laurentia grows well for us in a partly shaded fertile soil where it forms a dainty mat beneath taller plants. A bit of morning sun is acceptable.
