Parthenium integrifolium (Asteraceae)
Wild Quinine is a rugged plant native to prairies, and very much at home in the sunny meadow. In midsummer, 1.5-3' tall blooming stems rise from coarse, toothed basal foliage, and bear flat-topped clusters of milky-white flowers for weeks and weeks. Grow in full sun to partial shade in loosened, well-drained soil. A tough and beautiful native; perfect for the meadow garden.
