Phlox paniculata 'Robert Poore' (Polemoniaceae)
This great mildew-resistant Phlox comes from hot and humid Mississippi, and was named for noted ecological planner Robert Poore of Flora, MS. By mid-to-late summer, plants are topped with lightly fragrant, bold magenta-pink flowers — our closest color to wild populations of P. paniculata. Deadhead for a long season of rebloom.
