Rosa 'Louis Philippe' (Rosaceae)
(RO-za LOO-ee fee-LEEP)
Louis Philippe Rose

One of Blair's personal favorites! Double cup-like blossoms of glowing crimson begin in spring, and continue all summer long and on into fall. Blemish-free foliage and a dreamy soft-sweet fragrance combine for a very fine rose. Shrubby in form, this everblooming China Rose would make a terrific hedge (a sensory delight!), a fine single specimen, or would work well in the company of perennials. Grows 3-5' tall and is hardy to 10 F; especially wonderful for the South. Thanks to Rosemary Sims for sharing 'Louis Philippe' with us.
