Salvia greggii 'Dark Dancer' (Lamiaceae)
Bright magenta-pink flowers bloom summer through fall on this hardy Salvia. Upright 2-3' shrubby form with 1" tubular flowers that cover the top third of the stems; foliage has an enticing, piney-sweet aroma. It blooms pink-n-pretty through hot summers, and puts on an incredible final show in October. 'Dark Dancer' has sailed through unseasonably cold winters here; possibly hardy in zone 6 with excellent drainage.
