Sedum kamtschaticum var. floriferum 'Weihenstephaner Gold' (Crassulaceae)
(SEE-dum cam-SHA-ti-cum floor-IF-er-um)
While prowling We-Du nursery during July, we admired their pots of this Chinese Sedum. Summer-blooming, golden-yellow flowers top out at 6" and remain until fall. Ground-hugging foliage is medium green with a slightly open habit, and turns bronze during winter. Tiny, clustered, slightly serrated leaves form miniature whorls. Perfect for sunny rockery and ideal for rapid groundcover.
