Syringa patula 'Miss Kim' (Oleaceae)
( si-RING-ga PAT-u-la)
'Miss Kim' Lilac

Dense fragrant clusters of pale-blue-to-lavender flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds during the long bloom season. ‘Miss Kim’ is smaller than other lilacs, as well as more disease-resistant, and more tolerant of our southern heat and humidity. She forms a compact, densely branched rounded shrub up to 8' tall. Autumn interest is provided by the lovely, burgundy fall foliage.
