This tough and easy native has upright stems topped with spikes of purple-blue flowers blooming through summer into fall. Deadhead to extend bloom. It likes a bit of afternoon shade here in the South, and moist, well-drained soil. Foliage has a pronounced anise and mint fragrance, crush a few leaves between your fingers for instant aromatherapy.
