Phlox x 'Minnie Pearl' (Polemoniaceae)
Phlox 'Minnie Pearl'
Discovered along a Mississippi roadside by Karen Partlow, this outstanding Phlox is believed to be a natural cross between Phlox maculata and Phlox glaberrima. ‘Minnie Pearl’ has loads of large, pure white blooms late spring into early summer, much earlier than summer-blooming Phlox. Other fine attributes are a nice spreading habit and excellent mildew-resistance, especially important for our Southern gardens. (Sorry, hanging price tags not included.)
