Heuchera villosa 'Caramel' (Saxifragaceae)
(HEW-ker-a vil-O-sa)
Hairy Alumroot

One of an exciting new series of Heuchera cultivars introduced by French horticulturist Thierry Delabroye. 'Caramel' was selected from a group of H. villosa 'Autumn Bride' seedlings, making it especially well-adapted to the heat and humidity of the Southeast. Young, yellow-green foliage matures to a light copper-orange color with red undersides. This vigorous plant forms a dense, upright mound of large, wavy maple-like leaves. Small white blooms are held atop tall wiry stems in late summer.
