Salvia microphylla 'San Carlos Festival' (Lamiaceae)
(SAL-vee-a my-kro-FILL-a)
Littleleaf Sage

'San Carlos' has quickly become one of our favorite Salvias, with prolific red-violet tubular flowers on compact shrubby plants from late spring to fall. Bright green spicy-fragrant foliage stays full through our heat and humidity, and this selection has proven to be very cold-hardy. Thanks to Yucca Do Nursery for a fantastic Salvia our hummingbirds and customers love it.
